The Research

With funding from One Door Mental Health, we tested these resources with 38 people who were using mental health services in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. The resources were presented to participants by their peer workers. Overall, participants reported extremely positive experiences with the resources. For example, 93% of participants in the anonymous evaluation survey (28/30) described their experience of participating in the study as “quite positive” or “very positive” and 50% of respondents had shared their knowledge of lived experience research with other people. A majority of participants found each of the resources interesting, easy to understand, and helpful. Between 85 and 100% said that they would recommend each of the resources to other people.
